Description
Newton's Color Disc is mounted on a wooden base with rubber stoppers to prevent the apparatus from sliding or moving during use. When spun quickly, the colors appear to fade into a neutral white color -- demonstrating that white light may be composed from all the spectral colors. The disc contains the colors of the spectrum on a one 7-inch (175 millimeter) card; replacement card sold separately at SKU: PH0586. Design is hand driven by belt and driving wheel. Stands 13 inches tall.
