NeoSCI Classification of Soil Layers Lab Investigation allows your students to examine common soils of North America, determine how soils are formed and create a sample soil profile by employing the provided soil horizon cards. Easy-to-use, portable and practical soil cards allow students to construct a soil profile in the field and then analyze it when they get back to the lab with far less mess than using core samples. The soils in the profile can then be analyzed to describe the environmental conditions that influenced their formation. Class can also gather local soils, create a profile and determine the environmental changes that caused those soils to form. Includes materials for 40 students working in 10 groups of 4.
  • Affordably priced soil horizon cards are also available individually
