This kit allows for the exploration of creative building and mechanical systems without requiring any electronics or programming, making it a basic but engaging introduction to robotics concepts through physical construction. Creative Construction:
Kit includes over 200 reusable, custom-made pieces, including different sized straws and color-coded connectors. This allows students to build mechanical projects like small towers, cranes, and robotic arms
Robotics Board:
A Strawbees Robotics board is included to add robotic functionality to projects. When paired with a micro:bit, the board provides these features: 2 RGB LEDs, connections for up to 3 servo motors, standard micro:bit features like buttons, inputs and outputs, accelerometer and magnetometer
Coding Platform:
Students can write programs for their creations using Microsoft's MakeCode block-based programming environment
Educational Resources:
The kit comes with an instructional booklet that contains 11 activities and 10 challenges from the "Pocketful of Ideas" and additional lessons from the Strawbees Learning platform
