Delta Science Content Readers Changes In Ecosystems Collection
Description
Delta Science Content Readers are 24-page nonfiction student books with informative, engaging text, full-color photos, and illustrations. Red and Purple Editions both offer the same science content but at two different reading levels. Each offers the same key science content, science vocabulary as well as science and literacy support features.
Both sets of the Delta Science Content Readers present key science content and vocabulary found on state tests and support key reading skills and strategies for reading informational text. They extend and support hands-on activity experiences and content while promoting scientific inquiry. Also included are a comprehensive teacher’s guide and a pack of Skillbuilders with literacy-reinforcing, consumable practice sheets.
The Changes in Ecosystems collection teaches students about the needs of living things and their ecosystems. Students examine how natural events and living things can cause ecosystems to change and what happens when they do. Lessons look at survival, extinction and succession. Lastly, students examine how people can restore and protect ecosystems.
The Red books have a Lexile® measure of 730 and the Purple books have a measure of 970.
