Delta Science Readers Investigating Water Collection

Description

In the Delta Science Collection Investigating Water, students read about the properties of water. They learn that water can exist as a solid, a liquid, or a gas and find out how water changes from one state to another. They observe that objects either sink or float in water and that some substances dissolve in water. They also read about scientists who study glaciers in Antarctica. Finally, students discuss the importance of water to living.

Delta Science Readers are 16-page nonfiction books for students with informative, engaging full-color photos and graphics that present key science concepts and vocabulary.

Using science material they promote reading in the specific content area. They also help students develop informational literacy skills while promoting scientific inquiry.
