Delta Science Readers Force & Motion Collection
Description
In the Delta Science Collection Force and Motion, students read about the relationship between force, motion, and work. They discover how the six simple machines help people do work by moving objects easier, faster, or farther. They also read about people in science—bicycle inventors—and how they created ways to make the bicycle an increasingly more complex (and safe) machine. Finally, students find out how the waterwheel works and how friction affects motion.
Delta Science Readers are 16-page nonfiction books for students with informative, engaging full-color photos and graphics that present key science concepts and vocabulary.
Using science material they promote reading in the specific content area. Readers present key science content and vocabulary found on most state tests and support and extend the experiences and content of hands-on activities.
