NeoSCI AP Biology Lab 9 Restriction Enzyme Analysis of DNA Profiling 4 Station Kit is a guided investigation in which students begin by familiarizing themselves with gel electrophoresis. They will use restriction endonuclease treated DNA and gel electrophoresis to analyze DNA sequences by creating genetic fingerprints or DNA profiles. Mathematical routines are used by students to determine the approximate sizes of DNA fragments produced by restriction enzymes and solve a forensic mystery.
