NeoSCI AP Biology Lab 7 Mitosis and Meiosis 8-Station Refill Kit helps the students in learning how the organisms develop from a single cell by modelling mitosis. Onion root tips are used to conduct an experiment to study the impact of a mitogen on the rate of mitosis and carry out statistical analysis of their results. Students imitate the meiosis, crossover events and they think about the conditions that cause the inheritance of a genetic disease. Students investigate the karyotypes to find out the chromosomal anomalies as a result of improper segregation of genetic material during meiosis.
