Frey Scientific Neo Sci AP Biology Lab 6 Cellular Respiration 8-Station Kit allows the students to carry out pre-lab research on the process of cellular respiration. They can also determine temperature, morphology, variety, age-dependence, senescence and seasonality variables during germination. Students can also calculate the rate of cellular respiration by building and using a respirometer system that measures the relative volume as oxygen is consumed by germinating plant seeds. Students can conduct an experiment to discover the effect of certain factors including environmental variables on the rate of cellular respiration. They can define the investigation problems cooperation and learn about the physical laws pertaining to the properties of the gases.
