As education evolves, we are evolving too.
That’s why we’d like to share some updates with you regarding our physical education product offering. School Specialty is no longer distributing the SPARK curriculum products or SPARK professional development workshops. We will continue to support the digital content for current SPARKfamily members and online professional development for SPARKecademy members.
For 30 years, SPARK has been a leading physical education research-based program; however, we believe the needs of physical educators are changing and therefore we are committed to evolving to best serve teachers and their students.
We will be doing that through further investment into new, broader and innovative health and wellness solutions and look forward to bringing you exciting new programs in the future.
We will still provide professional development services to support physical education and health best practices. And we proudly continue to support the SHAPE America® Teacher of the Year program.
Finally, we keep investing in our renowned Sportime brand which offers a full line of best-in-class physical education products including adapted and inclusive solutions as well as our Teacher Approved products that have been recommended by award-winning, nationally recognized teachers that you can view here.

What happens to my SPARK curriculum order?
All SPARK curriculum orders that were received through October 31, 2018 were shipped by School Specialty by December 31, 2018. No new orders can be accepted by School Specialty.
What happens to my current SPARKfamily membership?
For Healthy Kids Challenge and Sportime Inclusive PE content:
School Specialty will continue to provide the Healthy Kids Challenge (HKC) nutrition education program and the Sportime Inclusive PE resources.
To continue to access your Healthy Kids Challenge (HKC) and Sportime Inclusive PE digital content through School Specialty, please go to pehealth.schoolspecialty.com.
For SPARK content:
The San Diego State University Research Foundation has contracted with a new distributor for the SPARK curriculum. For more information, you can email inquiries to SPARK at spark@sparkpe.org or call 833-73-SPARK (77275).
As of June 4, 2019, you can access your SPARKfamily.org account until your subscription expires here: SPARKfamily.org
If you purchased SPARK in 2018 or earlier, you will be prompted to re-register by entering the same email you used for your previous account.
If you purchased SPARK starting in 2019, you will register and enter the License #/Key Code you were provided with your order.
What happens to my purchased credits for online professional development on SPARKecademy.org?
School Specialty has transferred ownership of the SPARKecademy.org website to the San Diego State University Research Foundation and the new distributor of the SPARK curriculum.
