United Scientific 142 mm Dia White Porcelain Desiccator Plate is mounted on a stand with three feet of 16 mm height. Plate is glazed on the top surface. It offers resistance to acids and alkalis except for hydrofluoric acid. Glaze softening does not take place till 1000 deg C. The average coefficient of expansion from 20 - 200 deg C is 3.56 x 10-5 with a gradual increase to 4.69 x 10-5 at 1050 deg C to offer thermal shock resistance.
