CPO Science features complete, coordinated active learning core curriculum programs rich in STEM connections and aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Energy Quest will enhance your life science curriculum and show your students how much fun our cells can be! Students will play engaging board games like Chloroplast Blast to learn about photosynthesis, and use Augmented Reality (AR) to interact with a three-dimensional cell to understand respiration. New, graduated investigations support differentiated instruction by allowing you to teach every investigation at three distinct levels of detail and difficulty in the same classroom.

STEM concepts covered in Energy Quest include photosynthesis, light reactions, Calvin cycle, energetics and chemistry of photosynthesis, photosynthesis and plant anatomy, chloroplast structure and function, photosynthesis and ecology, carbon cycle, cellular respiration, glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, Krebs cycle, electron transport chain, energetics and chemistry of cellular respiration, mitochondria structure and function, cellular respiration and photosynthesis compare/contrast, fermentation pathways, and metabolism.

• CPO Science Link engages students and boosts understanding of key concepts with hands-on science and engineering investigations and innovative digital learning experiences
• All modules consist of investigations and teacher's guide, hands-on equipment, tablet-enabled learning, and online multimedia content with whiteboard resources
• Program for middle school or high school accommodates differentiated instruction and can be used to enhance any existing traditional or alternative curriculum
• Concepts covered meet STEM, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and Common Core State Standards Initiatives
• Energy Quest addresses MS-LS1-5, MS-LS1-6, MS-LS1-7, HS-LS1-5, HS-LS1-6, HS-LS1-7, HS-LS2-3, and HS-LS2-5 for NGSS performance expectations
