Description

CPO Science features complete, coordinated active learning core curriculum programs rich in STEM connections and aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). A fantastic starting point for understanding force and motion, the Car and Ramp module engages students in accurate and repeatable investigations of gravity, friction, speed, acceleration, Newton's laws, and simple machines. Plus, students will see how algebra has real-world applications as they use it to express their discoveries. Precision markings and extensive variable control ensure accurate, repeatable results.

STEM concepts covered in Car and Ramp include acceleration, action/reaction, collisions, distance, energy, equilibrium, experiments, force, friction, graphing, gravity, inclined planes, mass, models, momentum, Newton's Laws, prediction, speed, systems, time, uniform accelerated motion, variables, and weight.

• CPO Science Link engages students and boosts understanding of key concepts with hands-on science and engineering investigations and innovative digital learning experiences
• All modules consist of investigations and teacher's guide, hands-on equipment, tablet-enabled learning, and online multimedia content with whiteboard resources
• Program for middle school or high school accommodates differentiated instruction and can be used to enhance any existing traditional or alternative curriculum
• Concepts covered meet STEM, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and Common Core State Standards Initiatives
• Car and Ramp addresses MS-PS2-1, MS-PS2-2, MS-PS2-4, HS-PS2-1, HS-PS2-2, HS-PS2-4, and HS-PS3-2 for NGSS performance expectations
