In this activity, students will get a chance to create “Elephant Toothpaste” by learning about the effects that a catalyst has on a chemical reaction. By mixing a small amount of dish soap and adding yeast, students will see a decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, resulting in a large amount of foam that flows up and out of the reaction bottle.
