Instructions
1
Slightly moisten your watercolor paper using a large brush or clean sponge.
2
Apply one color of watercolor to entire page. This can be a color you have pre-mixed.
3
While the page is still wet, sprinkle the entire page with table salt and allow to dry completely.
4
Repeat steps, 1 through 3, three more times using different colors.
5
When all the sheets are dry, turn them over and mark and cut them into 1/2" strips.
6
Select one or two colors to lay out as your vertical strips.
7
Arrange the other colors in a pattern before you weave them.
8
Weave horizontal colors into vertical. (Hint: it works best to start in the center and weave out to both sides.)
9
Excess on the edges may be trimmed off or left in place.
10
To secure pieces, a small drop of glue may be placed under some, or all, of the tabs on the edges.
